The best advice I can give to someone who is "tweaking" would be to calm down and take advantage of the temporary loss of "reality" (as terrible as that sounds). When I used to do meth and stay up for days on end (I absolutely do not suggest it), I remember seeing so many imaginary "things" move out of the corner of my eye, which just increased my uncomfortableness. But then one night I was lying in bed trying to go to sleep, and trying to ignore my feelings of paranoia...when it hit me. Most people use substances in order to alter their usual perception of reality, so I should take advantage of not feeling sober. So while I hadn't taken meth to hallucinate, I decided to just go along with my hallucinations. I relaxed my body and mind, and sure enough, I began to see the movement and constant swirling of energy surrounding every object and the interception of two objects' surrounding energy. I know it sounds absurd, but it was an amazing experience...Plus, my relaxed thoughts allowed my body to become relaxed, and I shortly thereafter fell mercifully asleep.

Lack of sleep makes you start hallucinating.
