What is the Korean translation for “If they don’t have bread, then let them eat cake! ?” (Side-note: Kim Jong-il has probably said this several times!)

    Actually, no, Koreans don't use think of bread as a staple. Likewise, Koreans don't associate cake with the way you are using it. The Dear Leader has therefore probably never said anything like that simply because that would not come naturally to a Korean on either side of the DMZ.
