    Everyone is an expert in something. Maybe you spent the last ten years investigating the long-term effects of a jello diet, or you have traveled the country looking for the perfect cheesesteak... everyone has their own unique perspectives and experiences. Answerbag is here to help people help other people by sharing their unique knowledge.

    Society moves forward by building on its own knowledge. With every generation, information that was once cutting edge becomes commonplace, allowing the next generation to push the limits of human knowledge forward. Our kids don't need to learn everything we did, because technology has progressed and we have already determined many of the "right" answers and methods through trial and error.

    In recent history, we've maintained this trend through television and books, but now the Internet has given us the ability to establish stores of information that are freely accessible by anyone worldwide. Information is no longer limited to educated countries or to the intelligentsia. This development will undoubtedly push human progress forward even further by helping people worldwide learn from the experience of others.

    This all may sound a little grandiose, but ultimately it is the inspiration for this site. If I can help people help each other, if I can help them accelerate their learning curve for a given task and thereby allow them more time for their family or other leisure, my work is done."
