By grace are you save through FAITH....

with out FAITH it is impossible to please God.

Faith is essential! Works come out of a heart in love.

and as for the second baptism....you got me? Some churches, or right now it seems a lot of churches are pretty whacked! all I can say is sorry!

Faith is of the utmost importance to us.

Now are works useless, Paul said 'certainly not', for once we are in Christ we should be able to show it through our works.

Not sure about a 'second baptism', unless you mean being born again, which really is about turning towards belief in Jesus.

Actually it's one of those arguements that people get caught up with sad to say. I've watched people argue for hours about it when both were right but couldn't agree or come together. It's a weird thing.

I am not making excuses for anyone. But probably because the primary message is if you think that works is what it takes, wrong answer. Faith without works is dead, meaning the two go hand in hand. No one works themselves into good standing, faith is the important key.

Religions seem to see what people will fall for. Depends on why you need to be accepted in their group. Think before you leap. I know everyone picks on the Mormons but damn they got great PR they got 12 million people to believe Smith talks to God and they give the leaders a combined gift of 5 billion a year for a spot in his kingdom. I believe man made religions are a rip off.

if one trully has FAITH the WORKS will come naturally.....a trully Godly person does 'good works' naturally....Faith and good works go hand in hand....can't have one without the other...its God's acceptance into HIS GROUP/CHURCH, we should worry about and HE turns down no one....
these insist and do their own works, will, dogma, not God's.....

Everyone seem to have covered the issues of faith and good works. It is true that we are saved by grace through faith alone; we are only able to receive salvation through faith. Our works do not get us closer to heaven, or further "up the ladder." However, a person who has come to a level of understanding in his or her faith will naturally do good works. Faith is the tree and good works are the fruit. Just as an apple tree will naturally produce apples once it reaches maturity, the "faith tree" inside a person will naturally produce "good works" fruit once that person reaches a level of maturity in his or her faith. Any leader or pastor MUST have already reached this level, or he should NOT be teaching and leading others. Matthew 7 tells us that it is by the fruits that we are to judge our teachers.

"15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus you will recognize them by their fruits" (Matthew 7:15-20, ESV).

As for the second baptism, I would think this organization is referring to the baptism of water, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

"And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’" (Acts 11:16, ESV).

Being baptized with water is something most believers do shortly after coming to faith. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the point at which the Holy Spirit decends on you and takes up residence in your heart. Although some teachers will tell you that this happens at a certain point or time, the scriptures tell us that this will happen in God's time and there is nothing man can do to speed it up or influence when this will happen.

This organization may be one that thinks it can inspire this to happen, however it is wrong. There is nothing in the scriptures that tells us that we should put off doing His work or serving God until we recieve the Holy Spirit. We need to continue to do His work, and if we have to wait for the Holy Spirit to come to us, we should wait faithfully while continuing the work of God. It will happen in His time and no one else's. You may want to look into other organizations whose doctrine is more scriptural.

    Blessings.
