On your e-mails on hotmail can u click a button to tell you that u have read the e-mail but you haven't because on answer bag u just press "mark as read"?

There is no feature to do this as far as I know. This is ridiculous, as every other email client in the world and, as you pointed out, even simple messaging systems like answer bag's have incorporated this. However we should expect no less of Microsoft, who until recently didn't even let us use space bar as a shortcut for play/pause in windows media player and even know can't make it work properly. I recommend that you write to the hotmail team if you can find a suitable email address and suggest this feature be included when they next update the system.
