Help answer this question below.

My brother was about to lose his house and I took over the payments. I am now living at the house and consider it mine. What do I have to do to transfer it to my name? My brother will sign any necessary paperwork. I live in Texas. Been at the house 8mths.

Take bro to the bank holding the mortgage and fill out the necessary paperwork. Man, you are one nice brother! Biblitz is behooved. You have restorethed my faith in the community of man. This Texas place must be something even if it does contain the various nefarious Bushers.

Most mortgages have a clause, called an acceleration clause, that makes the balance of the mortgage due immediately upon the transfer of the deed. I don't think that he has the money to pay off the note when his lender comes a-calling.

What you need to do is find your own lender and buy the property from your brother.
