I believe I have a great idea for a new type of texas holdem poker tournament. Of course, I'd like to cash in on this idea. Any idea how I would get started? I'm just a poor normal slob.

I would say probably go to a casino and talk to the right person about it. Get them to set up a section with your new tournament rules to try it out and see if people enjoy it. Or you could host a tournament yourself at a venue to raise awareness, get feedback, and bring this feedback to a casino. I'm sure you would get rights and royalties if a casino picked up your idea. I would like to hear it btw...as an avid poker player I could tell you whether or not I would find it enjoyable and could give you basic feedback about what is good and what is bad about the idea (find people like me to talk about it with). I believe this dated message proves that it is your idea hence no one else could steal it you could smack them around in court).
