  • OK, mine is a 2004 but I will "Assume" they are similar. When you open the hood you will see the black plasitc cover that runs the length of the front of the car. It has little circular plastic "Holders" that need to be removed on the side you are working. Now these "Holders" are removed by pulling up on the center of them, NOT the outer edges. There is a tool that is like 7 bucks that is used for this but if you use a flat edge screw driver and pry up around the center "Button" that should work. Once the center pops up then pull it out. Once you have gotten those off and can move the cover some look at both sides of the light on the back side of the assembly. On both sides you will see a small flat metal part that is maybe a 1/4 inch wide. Also just for reference you will see a hex head screw staring up at you and these tabs are right behind those. So Push those tabs back easy and pull up on them. These are what hold the light assembly in place. Once you get those off just carefully pull the light assembly out. Now the plastic ring that holds the main headlight bulb in is somewhat fragile so be delicate with them. They are 12.00 if you need a replacement so not major but just be aware. At this stage put the new bulb in and be careful not to touch the bulb with your bare skin as the oil can ruin the bulb. Now putting the assembly back in has two things you MUST do. You again will see on either side two plastic pieces with the hex screws in them. These MUST go into the slots where those tabs you pushed to get the assmebly out are. There are groves so make sure they slide into those. Now this sounds easy but here is the catch. There is a third "Post" down on the bottom side of the light assembly which aides in the align of the light. This one is easy to miss and will make aligning your headlights almost impossible so make sure you get all three of these into their respective grooves / mount locations. Once all are in place push the assembly back and then push the holder tabs back down. Try pulling the assembly back out to make sure it is actually locked into place. That's it. Might also say, try turning the light on BEFORE putting the assembly back in just to make sure it is working! :) Good luck and remember the first time is always hardest but it does get easier.
