  • Sounds like your transmission has low fluid level.
  • Thank you for answering I have a manual transmission and the manual that came with the truck said It does not need to be changed in this model? and if it does need fluid I would have to take it to the service dept. so I looked anyway with the diagram of where the fluid should be(just an arrow in the picture) no dipstick:( instead, I found a rotten cracked hose. looked like it was leading to the possible fluid, so I ran to NAPA and got a similar hose and low and behold the check engine light dissapered and the truck runs BEAUTIFUL again :) So... I want to thank you for the reply, the answer you gave was a great possibility, I looked it up on google and what I had sounded like what you said. thank god it wasn't the problems could have been major and a dishonest machanic could have got me good. but they charged me $1.39 for the hose.WHEW!!!! thanks America4freehealth I hope this post helps someone else save some money!:)
  • sounds to me like your air/gas mixture is off. If it was an older truck I'd say check out your carburator, or even your timing.
