Perhaps the oil pressure sensor itself is failing. That was one of the more common failings on my first car, a 1969 Falcon. Every once in a while, the oil light would come on, on the dashboard, and shortly thereafter, oil would actually start leaking out through the failed oil pressure sensor.

You're reading I have a 1998 dodge neon the oil light keeps coming on, i have checked the oil and it is good, we have drove the car for over a week like this and it doesnt seem to act any different, why does this light keep coming on
