Should Mark Mcguire be voted into Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame?

    Regrettably, I have to say yes.
    He never tested positive for steroids, and even though he admitted to taking androstenedione, it wasn't a banned substance at the time. Unlike Pete Rose, McGwire has broken no MLB rules as far as I'm aware.
    Suspicions of steriod use are only that... suspicion. Nothing's been proven. Although he sure looked guilty as heck on Capital Hill.
    The only question that's begging is should he go in representing the A's or the Cardinals.

    It's been proven that McGwire has indeed admitted that he took a performance enhancing drug that was not illegal at the time but is today. If it weren't for all of the homeruns that he hit due to that record we wouldn't even be mentioning him for hall of fame honors. If he were mentioned for Cooperstown for his glove it could be possible to allow him in, or even for his batting average, but it's only for his strength at the plate. To sum it up, McGwire should not be allowed in Cooperstown because without performance enhancing drugs he would simply be a mediocre MLB player.

    I would vote no. But, until he is proven guilty, (of taking steriods), I should vote yes. I just believe that the several players with large weight losses and breaking down bodies, shows that they were on something.

    Until he is proven guilty I have to say yes. Its sad that less then 28% of hall memebers alive today say they would vote him in. We are still in america arent we? Innocent until proven guilty.
