Which would you rather visit? A country frequented by tourists (such as France) or a country that's not really known as a tourist destination (such as Mongolia)? Do you prefer a tried-and-tested or a mysterious destination?

I like staying off the beaten path.To many tourists in one place just make things more maddening,for me anyway.

I would rather go to a mysterious destination..I think Mongolia would be a wonderful country to visit. Very rich in ancient culture. I am not big on popular tourist spots..of course I have really never traveled so I wouldn't really know:)

huh.... good question.......I think I would want somewhere where they speak english....but not something completely touristy......like a town in France or Germany,but Mongolia is a bit too exotic for me:)
