Sadly, but truly, most religious texts have been misinterpreted by many who call themselves "authorities". Such is the very nature of religion, as opposed to pure Faith.

Yes, Most religious books has been twisted to suit its own need. If one is truly seeking God, they can just close their eyes and find Him inside themselves, speaking through their conscience and spirit (Atma). We need not go to Mandir (temple), Masjid (Mosques), or Church.

that is not true ... Muslim scholars did not misinterpret Quran ... they are the most knowledgeable people about Islam .. and they never say it is ok to kill innocent people including innocent Jews
