  • Israel. Switzerland.
  • Although Canada has many restrictions, if you pass background checks and jump through the hoops well enough, we will allow our citizens to own guns.
  • Canada. ETA: already answered, oops.
  • Switzerland, Israel, Finland, Serbia, Austria, Germany, and Russia come to mind off the top of my head; though in the case of the last three it is pretty heavily regulated and I'm no longer sure of the status of Serbia in that regard. I'm sure there are a number of other countries but it tends to vary quite widely in terms of regulation, etc. IIRC in the case of Switzerland there's still a law on the books (though not enforced) that if you are male and able bodied between 16 and 60 you have to qualify with your rifle on a regular basis to maintain your citizenship. It is true that they are issued an automatic rifle and ammunition and expected to keep it functional as during that age range you are considered to be part of the military, albeit in a more reserve sort of status. The Swiss still have a strong tradition in the shooting sports and they basically have no professional army aside from a small core of officers, specialists, etc.; they consider their citizenry to be the bulk of their army.
