The paddler in the back steers and does most of the control. The forward paddler provides horsepower and (hopefully) a sharp lookout for rocks and obstructions.A trip like you describe is quite an adventure, and I must caution you that it may not be for the inexperienced. The Lynches river is very remote and inaccessable in areas and radio and cell phone communications can not be counted on in case of emergency. Take an experienced friend with you to supply local knowledge and guidance. Good planning is the most important part of any succsesful trip.
