The short answer is: stay in school. You gonna be there awhile. You'll need to graduate college in order to meet the minimum requirements for any public school teaching that I'm aware of, though some charter and private schools may give educational credit for life experience and work in other careers. Naturally, that won't apply if you've just finished high school.

In the US, if you wish to teach in the public schools, you enter college in a teacher credential program. After the full four years of regular college, there is fifth year of student teaching required. Several private schools will accept teachers as interns without a teaching certificate.
