i would think because love is a great feeling and the first time you feel it is your most memorable...i wouldn't say you always love your first love but you do always remember them

It sounds simplistic, but the truth is: Because it is the first. The first love makes an impression on a person. In reality, all loves somone feels make an impression. Even the ones that end bad. Every time you open yourself up to love, the love you receive will change you, even if just a little bit. Personally, if I think about it, I can remember the names of not only the loves I've had, but also the crushes I had on girls in middle and high school.
