Sometimes I get on my soapbox and stay there..it's just the political atmosphere is replete with so much bullsh** it carries over into other areas..I know..it will soon be over..we will get who we deserve..! • Whew..thank goodness..not ready for it yet! Maybe when I'm 105? My Mom and Grandma lived till their mid-90's..I'm much healthier than they were at my age (almost 71)..so I'm good for at least 105, dontcha think? :) ((hugs))

• Not most. Only 36% of the 5th year students. 52% of highschoolers polled last year thought Canada was a state. But I think you should tell them how ignorant they appear every chance you get. And tell them why they appear that way -- lack of geographic knowledge, poor spelling and grammar, etc. Do it. They need to hear it. They really think that they live in the best country in the world, and they need to know that the country has failed them. They need to get pissed off. So, please, piss them off. Make them look like the arrogant, ignorant fools they've become. Or those highschoolers might grow up and take back what they believe is rightfully theirs.

• Thank you, Lendmeyourears. I should have dated this question when I wrote it last Monday (9/8). The fact is, unless you were watching PBS or BBC or online to outside agencies like Agence France Press or Associated Press foreign news, you wouldn't have seen it. You cited a similar story today. We are quickly become an ignorant nest of angry bees -- it's noticeable in the observations of the Brits, Aussies, Kiwis, and Canadians that belong to AB. Our 4th Estate is practically dead.
