With the war going on between the drug cartel and the federalies I would think twice. One federalie was shot and killed last week and yesterday 7 police were shot and killed at a check point. Over a dozen men opened fire on the police from several cars at the check point.
I don't feel as safe as I did but I will only go into Mexico during daylight hours now. I live on the Texas/Mexico border and cross into Mexico often.
Would anything happen to you? Hard to say, but you could get caught in cross-fire anytime. Just know this before you go. Be VERY careful where you go and what you do at night. Never be out alone but in groups of 4 or more. If you are a young blond, blue eyed girl between 12 and 25 yrs old be extra extreme careful as they are often kidnapped and never heard from again.
How old are you? Do you live with your parents? What do you do for a living? Where do you live? But judging from your bare question alone, I'd say ask away, the worst thing that could happen is them saying no. What do you have to lose????
