  • I suppose it could be argued that if we done 'nothing' it would become profligate but equally, the war on terror is also bringing newcomers to their cause. The war on terror is probably only keeping things in 'check' until the next time :o(
  • i think the term is an oxymoron you can't declare war on what you can't understand, or solve, or define....
  • Hardly, look at what the war on drugs has accomplished.
  • No. It makes us paranoid, which is what the terrorists want us to be. That is the point of their actions against us. Our natural caution has been turned into an organized, funded propaganda generating machine. Our people are afraid. They gratefully give up freedoms in exchange for any illusion of safety, and yet safety cannot be garanteed in any case. If you do any small amount of research you will find that there are so many ways for the terrorists to harm us and no way to effectively defend against most of them. The "WAR on TERROR!!" is the hook that allows the power machine to run rampant with the blessings of her citizens. And so the terrorists win!
  • do 2 wrongs make 1 right?
  • I think anyone with an open mind must admit it already has.
  • Have you ever looked at the REAL HISTORY of your species ? This has been going on with them for 10,000 years they have just gotten better more humane tools to do the job thats all, and thats fine with me and mine We just wish they would return across the sea's from wince they have come and stop involving us in their affairs as it would sure save us a bundle as We have better things to do with our resources and wealth than to get in the middle of a bunch of civil wars that are going to happen irrelevant of anything else that you do, period so I say batten down the hatches and prepare to ride out the storm but on our terms not theirs and that means let them duke it out and when they are sick and tired of the blood shed maybe they will quit but I doubt it 10,000 years and need I say more .... ~Nemo~
  • I can say this. Many people who oppose the idea have suited up , went to fight the Americans, and died in a foreign country. Iraq and Afghanistan have been a hot spot for terrorist activity since the US invaded, and many of those bad guys are no longer with us. NOW, Will their children retaliate, maybe... How about their wives. We must remember there is NO one right way to do things, and others will disagree with anything anyone does. Terror will always exist in our minds, we are weak humans, but, I think we are a little safer... Since we are attracting the "bad guy" on foreign ground. I personally, am proud of every single American soldier regardless of whether the world thinks he or she did a good job or not. They served their country, and tried to protect their family, friends, and neighbors. They have no interest in politics, if they did, they would be in Washington, instead of a tent in 120 degree weather, dodging bullets, and watching their friends die.
  • For whom?
