Oh, God! I would hope not! According to the Kinsey report, published back in the late 1940s, there were a surprisingly high occurrence rates among non-urban dwellers, around 30-40%. I don't know if these were ever taken seriously or not, but that seems like pretty extensive abuse. There have been more recent surveys done that seem to rate this a lot lower, like at or below 1% of the given population. Whether it's true or not, I would like to believe this one, if I had to believe either. I normally would never choose ignorance over knowledge, but with this topic I'm happy to remain unenlightened.

I think it is common in this day and age people are getting sicker and wanting to expirement more so they will do anything they can think of to come up with new ways to get off. I have had a myspace account and chatted on yahoo with friends and I have seen so many profiles of people doing it with their dogs or horses. I personally find it to be sick and cruel to the animals.

In socially conservative rural areas, the retardation that results from living far away from other people and having to conform to ridiculously old standards can lead to incest and zoophillia, and it often does.

I have a friend who actually asked me if I would be willing to donate time at a local animal shelter to be a lookout for her while she got it on with a large male dog. I thought it was fascinating that a young attractive woman could have this sort of fantasy... Of course I turned her down... but it was still fascinating in a non-sexual way.

I would say more than has been beleived or reported, all for the social good of course but historicly it averages about 15% to 20% across the board of all peoples and cultures and for some reason the more repressive the society the higher the occurrance, and historicly it was at time used as punishment generally towards women with some rather interesting outcomes.. ~Nemo~
