"Fair dinkum" is an Australian colloquialism which basically means something that has been stated or said is the truth.

Similar terms are "she'll be right" and "good as gold". It's also used to a less extent in NZ.

I understand that one can also simply say "dinkum", as in "It's dinkum, mate."
