  • Sorry, a little too personal!!
  • I have worn underwiring since I was 13. I'm a DD sorta gal afterall. About a year ago I reviewed all the stab marks in my chest and the various bruises and decided to go wire-free. I've never looked back. My bosom is just as luciously shapely as before and I don't feel like killing myself at the end of a busy work day. PADDING? On a DD? No. But I should admit that those little shapers...I'm jealous of them. But theys stop in the C cups. Us DD girls like shape too!
  • As comfortable as possible. No bra if I can possibly get away with it. Underwire if needed for support.
  • i don't wear one. i'm kind of small though. but you know what they say "more than a hand full is a waste. or is it a mouthful?
  • I wear padded and underwire. Just so I can look like I have some! It's terrible waiting all your life to hit puberty! I swear....being pregnant didn't even get me any.
  • It just depends on the shape and size of your breasts. I have to use underwire otherwise I'd be readjusting my boobs three times more than I already do. If I had small, perky boobs I'd totally wear sports bras and cute non-wire bikini top looking ones. If i try that now I get lots of saggage and they just don't look right. Don't need much if any in the padding with as much boob as I have, but underwire is essential for me.
  • it also depends on when and were too and if your going to show it or have it off later... the list go's on and on.
  • Definitely underwire - I need the support! It's okay to go without if there is a very thick band underneath. As for the padding, I like a little bit if I'm wearing a tighter shirt; not to make them look bigger (I don't need that) but to hide the nipples. I'm very self conscious of this because my husband always points it out to me if he can see them.
  • My friend and I went shopping for bras, and we walked into Victoria's Secret and spent FOREVER trying to find B-cup bras that weren't padded. Maybe we're just not very good at navigating around a lingerie store, i don't know. But (I really don't mean to offend anyone) I think that wearing padded bras is cheating. And, I just don't want to look any "bigger" since I'm 87lbs. and a 34B...ok, too much information. I'll stop now.
  • underwire, padded. it just feels better. but not alotof padding. just a thin layer.
  • I'm wearing underwires but it's time to reasess my needs. As soon as I'm home I'm braless. Bras have been feeling like somekind of medeival punishment as of late...
  • the more pading the better, i feel alot more confident in my appearance wearing a padded bra, and of course underwire you have that little extra.. lift! when i m not out in the public eye however i do not even have to wear a bra, WAY mre comfier than any bra option!
  • Underwire but only if its Victorias Secret- theirs lays flat and I cant feel it. No Padding cos I dont need to look like Dolly Parton...
  • I can not stand underwire bras. They actually hurt me. Padded or not does not matter.
  • I LOVE how this is under the feminism category! I tend to like underwire- I actually find it more comfortable, which I know bewilders some people- it just feels like everything's held in place a bit better. I occasionally get something padded if I'm wearing a dress that demands a bit of extra cleavage to look it's best (I'm currently fascinated by those drawstring bras that push everything together 'til you look like you've got the Mitchell brothers having a kiss-and-make-up in your bra) Although some of the padding they have now is ridiculous- why would you want the front seam of your bra to enter a room ten minutes before you do?
  • NO underwire and NO padding. I like to wear Sloggi type running back bras . Step ins they are so comfortable for daily wear. Of course not too glamorous for any other purpose but that is another story. In the summer under strappy T Shirts i do not wear a bra at all , and NO I do not have particularly small boobs I just dislike bra straps showing . Not my favourite fashion statement
  • Always underwire, i find nonwired very uncomfortable. And as far as padding goes, I like to have a little bit (not for cleavage) so we don't have any 'oh looks it's cold....there are my nipples world' moments (sorry if that was too much information. Unfortunatly because I have a large back size (average cup) manufacturers seam to think that i want a hammock that shows my nipples off to the world (wonderful) I just like a good old t-shirt bra, i've tried padded and plunge ones but my breasts are determined to never let me have a cleavage! ..there, now you know everything!
  • Underwire and no padding. I like the extra support underwires give and I don't like padding.
  • I like wire bras because they provide more support, but I don't really care if its padded or not, but I choose padding because it tends to look better!
  • At a double D I'd say underwire is a must. Padding is not, of course.
  • For me it all depends on the way I feel that day, or what I'm wearing. Mostly- no pads, but maybe if (before my menstrual cycle) my breasts are sore or my nipples are like poking out trying to look at people, I prefer padded. the larger you are, you are gonna want wires- more support, point blank.
  • Underwired, I am 34DD so I need a bit of uplift but definately not any padding!
  • Underwire and padded i am only a 34A but the rest of me is small too so i am happy
  • Unpadded underwire. I have DDD's so I have to have the support of an underwire, and I definately don't want more padding. The lame thing is, you can't really find a DDD without padding. My theory on that is that men must be designing all the bras. :(
  • padding in winter-keeps niples warm! no padding in the summer because it makes them sweat! underwire for the perky feel! sports bras are the everyday comfort and support! bras are like shoes really..
  • Underwire, for support. Never, ever padded, I have quite enough already.
  • I need a moment to speak for the men. All those questions are important I am sure for ladies but we males just need t know about the c lasp to undo the bras. Mr Bill
  • I like under-wires, but no wire is fine for sports bras or bras I fall sleep in. I don't need padding, and remove whatever gel or pad is removable.
  • underwire. and not padded. because i dont like boobs and do not see the point in making them look bigger.
  • How can anyone say under-wire bra's give extra support? They have no bandeau to support the under bust, and they HURT! The under-wire digs into my ribs and causes large ugly bruises. The back slides up because there is no strong elastic and no bandeau for support! I have spent a small fortune in an attempt to find just one that fits. The wires poke me under the arms and bruise the ribs and stick out in the front. Please don't tell me it is to small, any bigger and when I raise my arms the girls go south! Any smaller and I have spill over. I believe a man invented this piece of underwear as torture.
