I just say, "Me don't speak England."
-
Tell them "No thank you, and please take my name off your calling list!" Then simply hang up. You have to unfortunately be firm with these people or they will continue to call you. If you tell them to do that by law they are supposed to. It is worth a try anyhow. Don't even give them the chance to ask ONE question or start talking to you, or one question will turn into 21!

I start talking to them about my own survey. I know a lot about the nspcc, so I go on and on about it, they end up a little frightened and shuffling away
-
Thankfully, I don't get a lot of these calls. If I am interested I will do the survey, if not I just hang up.
-
Ask them to hold the line and put the phone down then come back in 10 mins to hang it up they will get the hint
-
Tell them you are under "house arrest" and the FBI monitors your calls. Then hang up.
-
just say, sorry, i'm waiting for a call..
-
i tell them a colleague has already called and i have already done the survey.
