Why build any plane? Because airlines want it and will pay an amount that allows Airbus to make a profit. If full, it is more fuel efficient than any other aircraft, and it gets more people in and out of crowded airports like Heathrow. As long as you *can* get the parts to the factory, why is it important to bring them by air? Airbus invented that idea about 30 years ago, to support their distributed manufacturing model, but it is far from compulsory.
About how many kinds of planes can you personally recognize by seeing them fly overhead?

You're reading Why does Airbus bother to build the A380? Its SOO big you can't get the parts to the factory by air. I know its spacious and a big achievement but why build a plane thats such a pain in the neck?
