Why do women wear nylons in the summer when they are wearing pants and heels? Isn't to hot for that?

Most of the dress slacks that I wear occasionally in the summer are made of thin material, and many of them are very light colored (pink, white, pale yellow, etc). By wearing pantyhose under them I don't have to worry about a panty line showing through.
Since my office, car, and home all are air conditioned, it really isn't uncomfortably hot unless I have to be outside in the heat and humidity for a long period of time.

- I do wear thongs sometimes, but it's usually just when I'm wearing casual clothes like jeans or shorts.
  I've found that with a lot of my slacks, especially the lighter colored ones, even a thong line will show through at times. When I wear pantyhose under them I get a perfectly smooth look, and additionally the control top eliminates any "jiggle" problems I may have, LOL!

- Yes, I do wear g-strings with pants, just not the dress slacks that I wear to work. A lot of the times when I'm wearing jeans or casual pants, I'll be wearing a thong or g-string under them.
  
  I assume you mean that you were in downtown Chicago, and I agree that it's a great city with much to do. I don't get there too often, I'm a small town girl from downstate Illinois. ;-)

I wear pantyhose all summer long, even with pants, but I definitely prefer skirts to pants, so I only wear pants when I have to.

I don't find them too hot, and I live in the desert southwest.

i do wear nylons in summer and sometimes get TOO hot . do get problems below . but love the look and the feel . wouldn't go out without my heels

If you have a lower denier they breathe a little more, so you can wear them with light pants and not have problems!
