  • I Feel NOTHING !
  • If a guest pays with cash..i ALWAYZ take them all their change back regardless of whether they say "keep the change" or not! I NEVER ask if they need change i feel like thats asking for the tip and thats something you shouldnt do! If the guest wants to leave you the tip they will! i feel like its rude to ask!
  • It's kind of tacky.
  • It's a little pushy, and I've only ever had it happen when the waiter/waitress had done a bad job and wasn't going to be tipped much. If you do a good job, I'll tip you. If you -ask- for your tip, you're not good at your job. And I've waited tables before, in an environment where at the end of the meal we actually put out tip trays.. and I felt horrible having to do that. I can't imagine actually -asking- for your tip from the customer.
  • I think that they are assuming that they might get it all for a tip. I believe that a more respectable comment would be, "I'll be right back with your change." Then you can say ok, or I don't need any change.
  • If im paying a 10 dollar tab with a 20 and get asked this question, the tip has just gone down. Normally i am a good tipper, my friends tell me too good. Idont like to be prodded this way.
  • somewhat annoyed....if the difference is high.
