Question

Help answer this question below.

Hi I have a Digital notetaker which runs on one 1.5vdc AAA battery. It runs for about 8 hours on a single battery. Can I get it to run off say a 9vdc battery that might make it run for 16 or more hours.

Hi again my question re the Digital notetaker. Your answers both great thanks. I'm not around to change batteries so the idea of putting multiple AAA batteries in place sounds good and worth a try. Now this will sound dumb but can you please explain how to put batteries in parrell are there any adaptors that will provide the correct positioning for me?

You might try using a "premium" alkaline battery to get longer use time.

Or go to a Rechargeable battery (have to buy a recharger):

For Ni-Cads, you trade off a lower-than-alkaline operating time against the economy of re-using the battery.

For Li-Ion types of battery, you would pay a lot more , but get longer operating times with short recharge times.

Brenhden's idea of hooking batteries in parallel and plugging it into the unit has merit, but you'd have to know what you're doing, or get someone to do it for you.

I'd probably just keep extra AAA batteries on hand. It's probably cheaper in the long run.

DON'T use a higher voltage battery!

Hi, no I don't think you can. Keeping the voltage the same is very important as a higher voltage could lead to damage or overheating. You could try the following:

    1. Use a AA battery

    2. Use more than one AAA battery but you would have to connect then in parallel rather than series.
