Help answer this question below.

I sat on the park bench last night. The police stopped and asked me what I was doing? I said sitting He got mad and called me a smart _ _ _. Detained me for an hour and then told me to have a seat. I wanted to say that's what I was doing. Should have I?

    Possibly.

    I've been known to be a smart*ss myself. I generally have great respect for police officers, but this doesn't mean that I will take any completely unjustified cr*p from him.

    If all's well that ends well now, then I'd just let it go.

    But isn't it nice to dream of all those REALLY smart*ssed comments you COULD have made?

    You should have told him you were sitting here thinking of all the problems that are going around in the world and why there is so much a gap between the "haves" and the "have nots". How helpless you feel to change the world and how uncertain you feel about the future... Then the police would have just said to go home and do that on your own couch...

    I would have..but then I would know that it would mean I was going to be hanging out for more than an hour ...depends on if its worth it to get it out of your system or not..LOL :)

    It sounds like the area has strange people around all the time and you were the different element that made come over and see what was happening. The way I look at it He might have wanted to make sure you Safe- Better than a Mugger coming to Robe you- You think?

    Never be short with a police officer, just tell it like it is. better to have him so your safe!

    I would have. But thats only because i have some family members as cops and i work at a place that 1 cop owns and another cops daughter works there. So i know a lot of cops that wouldve kept me out of trouble fo rsomething like that.lol.
