Talk with the store where you want to buy the animal, they usually know. ;)

this would be considered the bare minimum for a baby iguana. once the iguana is over a foot in length, you will need a larger enclosure. in my experience (i have had iguanas almost all my life) its best to just get an enclosure big enough for an adult from the time the iguana is a year old. keep in mind that they grow up to 6 feet in length. would you want to be kept in an enclosure just barely big enough for you to turn around? i would recommend an enclosure of about 7-8 feet tall/ 10-12 feet wide/ 7-8 feet deep.since iguanas are arboreal (tree dwellers) they need something more vertical than horizontal. thats big, i know. but these are the dimensions more suitable for a 6 foot iguana and if you plan to keep yours for its whole life, its easier to just get it over with now, get the enclosure, and not have to worry about it in the future. iguanas are also territorial and creatures of habit, so changing enclosures can be stressful on them. i have had iguanas that wouldnt eat for weeks after i moved them. any more questions, feel free to ask me. good luck
