Why there isn't "women against abuse" as well?

sweetcakes, your question is admirable and worthy of praise, but I don't feel like I'd be supporting abused women by doing that. Real support is caring, donating money and time along with education to abused women and the abusers. I would feel like a sellout if I just typed three letters after my name. Please..I hope you don't take this the wrong way for I agree 100% with your passion in this endeavor.

There are a couple that I have seen, and I stand up and salute them. It takes a real man to stand up against the abuse of woman!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had many abusive step-fathers. I changed it Sweetcakes. . And the natural father that left and left an opening for a step-father in the first place is abusive too. I have no idea how I still have a step-mother!!

I'll make myself absolutely perfectly clear on this issue. Then anyone can put any additional name or title on me. Any "man" who is mentally or physically abusive to any lady or child isn't a man at all. He's an immature, self-doubting, self-centered, egotistical, controlling, slave driver, narrow-minded, insecure, piece of scum and garbage. AND you can take that to the bank! I think it's appalling and disgusting to abuse a lady or child. I'm 61 years young. I had quite a few arguments and disagreements with quite a few ladies, Some arguments were VERY heated. HOWEVER, I NEVER mentally or physically abused any lady. I never called them names or insulted their intelligence. I NEVER lifted a hand or finger to any of them. I never saw or heard any of my relatives or friends do it. I wouldn't expect any of them to do it. AND I certainly would never do it. I THINK IF I saw a "man" abusing a lady or child in public, I MIGHT stick my nose in their business to protect the one being abused. Thanks for asking your Q! I did my best to answer it.
