  • o.k. going out on a limb here but im thinking the killer would not, repeat not get any organs. They will however make a lot of "new friends" to chat with for what little time they have left on death row. Which raises another question... would that be like double dipping death?
  • I've always enjoyed your off the wall questions, technios. But now you've got me worried... :)
  • I would hope not. Its unlikely the person would do anything for the needy as the person has already shown they are a sociopath. Any good they do would be through forcing them to do so and someone so sick I'd rather simply be disposed of than try to force them to do something decent and run the obvious risk they'll commit another heinous crime in the process. The harvested organ could be used on someone much more deserving, assuming of course it isn't damaged by our little sociopath harvesting it in the first place. Simply let them be tried and if found guilty treated as any other convict, no preferential treatment either way. As long as it takes to exhaust appeals these days its likely that whatever the problem they have that has caused a new organ to be needed will get them before they are executed and with any luck it will be a more painful demise anyways. I've little sympathy for such people.
  • I think he/she would simply move from one death bed to another, the second one behind bars. Doctors would provide whatever care they would have already been providing for a person who was not a transplant candidate and the organs would be donated, with the family's consent, to the next person on the list. The murderer/thief would most likely die before coming to trial, compounding the tragedy and denying the family of the victim any sense of closure or justice. It is a sad scenario.
