A program on a pc? Ok close everything down, till you are at your desk top. Then click on "my computer" then find "Control Panel" and open that. You will see several options but go to "add remove programs" (NOT HARDWARE) and find the file or application you are looking for and click uninstall.

If you mean uninstall something on your computer....assuming you know it is not a needed program, and if you are using Windows XP: Go to ==> Control Panel=: Click on the name control panel and it will open another screen. Look for the "Add/Remove Programs" icon and double click on that. A LONG list of programs that are on your computer will eventually ( a few seconds) fill in. If you are 100% sure you don't need the program any more, and it is not vital to Windows or anthing else you are running, click on the program name and it will be highlighted. Over to the right it will say Remove/Uninstall Click on that, and the rest should be auctomatic. Close other programs down **before** you do all this to be as sure you get a clean good uninstall. Shut your mail and Explorer, etc. all down. If it comes up partway through and says "are you sure you want to uninstall this?" Read what it says carefully, as it might say that if you uninstall it would affect another program. If that is the case or you are not sure say NO and cancel the procedure. If you think it is fine, say YES. If no screen but the uninstall wizard comes up, it will do what it has to do and then the name of the program will disappear from the list. If part of the program had files in use or that could not be uninstalled it will tell you that, but the program should be gone, as well as well as any icon to it on your desktop (shortcut) if you had one. If in doubt, ask someone to come to your home who knows computers so they can help you in person. Once something VITAL is uninstalled on your computer, you might be in alot of trouble, so best to be safe than sorry! :) Hope this is helpful.
