I would order based on the ingredients. I'll avoid coconut also but if it has bananas, I'm there. Some places can make a fancy desert from bananas.
something yummy.. fudgey
Doesn't matter - whatever sounds most delicious. I mean, if the place is known for coconut cake, I couldn't care less, because I don't like coconut cake. Or, if there's some dessert that's 4 feet high and set on fire but includes coconut, again, I won't be ordering it, despite the entertainment value.
At a fancy restaurant?
The cheap one!
Homemade Apple Crisp always trumps everything else. Then some Chocolate Fantasy Mousse..last, a slice of cheesecake. Ice cream I can always get..I don't order that..sometimes it comes with the Apple Crisp..that is pure heaven! :) ((hugs))
In a nice restaurant I typically opt for something classic like creme brulee, chocolate mousse or cheesecake.
Rice pudding.
chocolate fudge cake (or similar) or a cheesecake (depending on flavour)
House specialty, I love to try different things.
