You should always exercise before you play any sport, to get all of your joints ready for the sport, and to prevent any soreness of any of your joints.
There are some racket designs that cause the racket to vibrate less and be kinder to your arm. I have had no problems since I swiched rackets last year. Talk to people and do some research.
Rest your elbow. Take NSAIDs (like Ibuprofen). Warm up and strech before you play, wrap it while playing. Ice it afterwards. Repeat.
Try playing for a while with your non-dominant hand. It'll give your dominant hand a chance to rest and you'll be suprised at the improvement you'll make as a result of this variation.
Some tennis players grunt each time they hit the ball! Others are quiet and don't provide sound effect. I prefer the silent ones, do you?
