  • The command of Jesus to baptize believers in the name of the father, the son, and of the Holy Ghost is fulfilled in the actions of His Apostles. They baptized in the name of Jesus all who believed.
  • they believe thats the way the bible told them to do it
  • catholics baptize in the father, son, and Holy Ghost... they got it from Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," but when Jesus said that he meant baptize them in the name of the Father (who is Jesus) and the Son (who is Jesus) and the Holy Ghost (who is also Jesus)... He didn't mean baptize them in those titles he meant baptize them in the Name who holds those titles... when you get baptized in the titles it's not doing anything for you except for getting you wet... you have to go completly under the water and in Jesus name before all your sins are washed away... and if baptizing in the titles is true then why in acts when John was baptizing all those people did the disiples not stop him and tell him that he was baptizing them all wrong? b/c they knew that you are supposed to be baptized in Jesus name.
  • Some churches obey the scriptures where Jesus tells them to baptize in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Others just copy what they see in scripture, without understanding the intent. Baptism isn't a magickal formula, it's an act of OBEDIENCE. It doesn't save you, it simply demonstrates that you are serious about following Him.
