Help answer this question below.

I went to a gay bar with my gf who is friends with many gay people. That night I danced with her and with her friends(no grinding). My friends say that because I did that I am gay. How do explain what gay is to morons?

    I have a family member who is SO not gay but he went to a gay bar with my sister and at one point took his shirt off while dancing...lol, so that doesnt make him gay, It made him drunk but not gay.


    tell your friends that they should be more secure with their sexuality because its making YOU uncomfortable. lol

    To be blunt, I wouldn't bother. If they are as moronic as you say they wouldnt understand, and if I were you I would find a new set of friends with more open minded views than the last ones.

    They're not your friends if they keep that up.
    It's funny for awhile sure, but if you don't stand up for yourself people no matter who they are will walk over you.
    You should just invite a few with they're gf's to the bar, just to clear up what the impression is of homosexual to them.
    If they don't agree, then why would you want to be friends with people that make fun of you?

    My best friend is gay and I've been to many gay bars. Your friends problem really is their own, not yours. Gay bars are the best places to pick up straight girls though as lots of them go with their gay friends and they're not expecting to get hit on.

    You tell them that if going to a gay bar and merely dancing where gays are present makes you gay...then THEY must also be gay because gay individuals go to the library, restaurants, gym, etc. Maybe they'll see the flaw in that logic.

    I think you should first of all explain to them what ignorance is,if they dont know what they are talking about then they should be silent,have been to a gay bar myself with a male friend,had such a good laugh,everyone was so nice.

    I love gay clubs and a lot of my friends are gay. My husband certainly was not gay but he also enjoyed the company of my friends and the visits to the Gay clubs.

    Your homophobic friends do not know how much fun they are missing :)

    straight girl in gay bar = dancing and drinks without having to worry about getting hit on. I don't really know any straight girls that don't like to dance, and sometimes you just wanna have fun without your dance partner trying to take you home.

    If they are that moronic and you have to explain, are they really your friends? Why should you have to explain, anyway. You're with your g/f and friends and enjoying yourself, who cares what they think. I'm lesban and my stepsister is straight and has a boyfriend. She has lots of gay friends as well as having a lesbian stepsister. We all hang out sometimes at a local gay bar (we did the other day on Labor Day). She and her boyfriend are perfectly comfortable hanging out with all of us. In fact, my stepsister goes there with some of her other friends more than I even do. Have fun, enjoy yourself, and ignore these juveniles.

    Well for a start, your friends should apologise because they're displaying a negative attitude towards your girlfriend's taste in friends. They should consider themselves lucky if they ever manage to find partners who are as open-minded and accepting as your girlfriend.

    You seem like an easy-going, layed-back kind of person and if they can't see things at your level because they're stuck in their cloistered little world where all people have to think and act the same, then you're better off without them.

    Give me a break. Girls have been dancing together since the creation of dance. And no... NOT "gay" girls but ALL girls.

    Hell, I worked with a band whose guitarist was my best friend. His wife and mine used to go to shows quite often. They would get on the dance floor together all the time. Does that make them gay? I don't think so.

    And just GOING to a gay bar does NOT make you gay. Think of all the delivery people who HAVE to go in there.

    How 'bout the cops? Do they think they only send gay cops into gay bars?

    Do they think Clint Eastwood is gay because as Dirty Harry he went into a gay bar? (I can't quite remember if he did or not, but...) How 'bout Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) from Beverly Hills Cop? The other guys because they followed him in? What's worse, is Bronson Pinchot gay because he played an obviously gay character in that show? Are ALL actors who play gay characters gay?

    I could go on and on with this, but you get my point.

    No, just because you go into a gay bar, or if you danced with your GF or her friends, does NOT make you gay.

    Now, how to tell your friends? I would CERTAINLY hope they are simply teasing you.

    Otherwise, they're not real friends if they don't KNOW better, huh? And who really cares what THEY think?
