Question

Help answer this question below.

My cat is 1 year and 7 months, she has been declawed for 2 months, and since then has been sleeping all day and night, and only gets up to move to another sleeping area. Is this her getting older or abnormal for her age?

Adult cats sleep 15 to 20 hours a day. Your cat evidently has reached adulthood. There is a chance the cat was declawed a little late and is depressed, but she will adjust as long as you keep her in a safe environment. Otherwise, that's it. That's what cats do. They sleep. They get up, eat, drink, do the other thing, and if there is nothing to chase and kill or no human to distract, they sleep. Not a bad life.
