If the crime was 20 years ago it may be time to consider getting the record expunged (find and talk to an attorney).

Beyond that I fail to see what the problem with moving out is.

Since he has a job he may be out of social security paychecks, but there are many programs out there to help the handicapped find housing (wheel chair accessibility) and other things such as financing even partial payment on wheel driven vehicles, loans and grants for converting a standard house to wheel chair accessibility.

Of course that depends a lot on local state and count programs. Best place to start is the SS office and work out from there. If they are useless, then try toe county or state level Department of employment which also handles state level disability and usually at the very least have phone numbers to get you going in the right direction.

There should be an advacasey group who may be of assistence, sounds as if he should consider a attornet to plea in his case expungment papers,20yrs and now a life time in a wheelchair should qualify for some consideration from his state judishionary pardons board.

first i would want to no what he was in jail for? then i would ask are you still part of eny gang culture? then i would ask what type of property are you lookin for? e.g flat, house or bunglow. i would then take him to citizens advice to see what he is intiteld to, as he is wheelchair bound, and he will need a place with wheelchair acess, then we would take him to the nearest houseing and get him registard, unless he wanted to go privert, but i think he would be better of wid a bunglow. go an see the citizens advice, they will help him. his crime was 20 years ago, it should be spent, an if not then it should be, coz here in the uk, it would of bin. if he feels his marrage aint workin, then get him to tell his wife, an maybe they can cum to an agreement or sumthin
