Why does my rabbit get so aggressive when I let it out of its cage for more than 5 mins? I usually leave him in my cage and whenever i leave him out for too long, he grunts @ me and runs under the sofa and thumps loudly. why?

    He feels threatened being outside of its cage for that long. He runs under the sofa for cover. The act of thumping is a social behavior used to warn other rabbits that danger is nearby or that he is stressed.
