  • edit your bios settings so that the first boot device is the optical drive and the second is your hard drive. there is also another option to just go straight to the boot device settings. when u turn on the laptop look carefully for the option buttons you can press to access these options (something like "press f12 to enter boot menu"). look around the top and bottom corners of the screen right after u turn on the puter. If the settings are already set to boot by optical drive first and the disc still wont boot, try cleaning the disc and or the drive it self. The disc is cleaned with cd wipes (i prefer using the same microfiber towel i use to dry my car with). The optical drive can be cleaned with canned air or with a optical drive cleaning kit which is actually a cd with small brushes on the bottom that spin and wipe directly above the lens (i prefer using an air compressor)
