  • SOme insurance companies will give you a small % off your auto ins. if you take a defensive driving course, but not if you are taking one AFTER an incident. A DDC will keep points from an incident off your license, but it won't remove ALL the points from previous incidences. The ticket will still be on file with your state's DMV.
  • 1)Possibly, depending on your state. 2)No, other than time. 3)Probably not, depending on jurisdiction. A Judge however, acting under state law, may allow you to attend traffic school. Upon successful completion of that course, the ticket will not be forwarded to your state licensing agency, and therefor will not appear on your record.
