Help answer this question below.

I am using CA EZ-Antivirus on a PC with Windows XP. Upon scanning, it returned 331 instances of infected files - all by the virus Win32/virut.5127 . A lot of the files are .exe for Task Manager, Registry, etc. How do I restore these critical system files?

If its that bad I would probably reformat and do a clean install, it would be a pain, but at least it would be clear of them all and you would get fully working versions of all those files back. That virus lowers your security settings and lets other people access all your files, not the sort of thing you want to take chances with.
