  • Exercise for at least an hour each day (at about 80% of maximum heart rate) with strength conditioning mixed in about three days a week. Eat mostly vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Get enough calcium. Take a multivitamin. Don't smoke. Get 8 hours of sleep each night. Try to reduce stress in your life. (Don't take life too seriously.) Smile. Exercise your brain by learning all you can. Make friends.

  • Eating small meals multiple times a day. Every 3-4 hours eat 4 full mouth sized portions of food. Anywhere from 20-30 % meat and dairy along with 70-80 grains, fruits and veggies. No smoking, no drugs, moderate to no alcohol, low salt, little to no refined sugar. Exercising at least once a day for 20 minutes. Lifting weights, jogging, walking, sex and especially yoga. Working a non stressful job that I am happy to work. Staying positive, keeping good friends, maintaining positive relationships, and laughing often. Taking care of responsibilities early on and getting enough sleep. Spending time in nature, meditating, and doing my part to take care of people and keep the earth clean.

  • I can't say this enough. Get moving. Move. Walk, run, ride bike, go to the gym. It's a cure to many ills, and a preventive measure to many more.
