Which television gives a better picture in your opinion, a large screen LCD TV or a HD Plasma TV?

    I had been told just recently when purchasing a Plasma screen that its better to purchase because there is a type substance inside the screen that doesnt effect the picture if you toch the screen where as the lcd if you touch the screen you can see prints in the picture itself. I know this probably sounds looney but ask around at your local electronic store this is what I was told.

    Plasma TV's are very succeptable to screen burn. (When you leave a dvd in the player and it just sits at the menu or you fall asleep there and the image is visible after you turn the TV off) And they are very expensive.

    A HD LCD TV will be a lot less $/inch you will sacrifice a bit of crispness but not a huge noticable difference.
