    Well, I won't "attack" the quran, because that can be needlessly dangerous to your life. I'll just say that Jesus said something that's obviously true--not just because Jesus said it, either. He said we should judge a tree by its fruits--a religion by its results. And although there were--mostly long ago--situations where the lunatic fringe of the Christian church became violent, today the entire fringe of the Muslim world is waging a war of attrition on its neighbors. Just look at a map--the only place where Muslims share a border peacefully with non-Muslims is Kazakhstan and Russia.

    There is a reason for this from the Quran. There are 164 verses in the Quran (check 'em out at www.yoel.info) commanding jihad, endless aggression against everyone else until Islam controls the entire world.

    To me, this proves the existence of a war god called Allah. Whether you really want to worship a god like that who perpetually violates the peace by commanding aggression and murder, I'll have to leave up to your judgement. But it sure seems to me like the fruit of the Quran is bitter indeed, rather than good; so I'll stay Christian if you don't mind.

    To make judgments on the Quran is forbidden by Muslims, and certainly off limits to non Muslims. That is a major reason that few people dare make any statements regarding it.
    Which is one reason I would be suspicious of its claims. A book and a teaching that is not allowed to be investigated using the same textual criticism afforded to other holy books, is of concern.

    I dunno about in the real world, but I know that a lot more christians post religous questions here than muslims, and if more muslims posted religious comments on AB they'd probably see as much criticism as the christians.

    if there was a proof as in 1+1=2 , all humans would belong to one religion.

    Muslims believe that Allah swt is the one who makes people believe or disbelieve

    And spreading knowledge and fighting ignorance (worshiping a human or a cow or whatever) is not attacking ... i am surprised such intolerance comes from a white man who believes in freedom

    People are allowed to question the Qur'an it's human nature to do so and Allah understand human nature pretty well I'd say. I don't think that people have the right to say that Islam is inherantly aggressive or that it's dangerous to state that it is and to state that there are versus of the Qur'an insight violence without also looking at the fact that Christianity does the same thing. Look at Psalms for example. They are almost all songs and prayers about getting God to help kill your enemy in war. I was raised Christian and converted to Islam because it makes more sense to me but also because both religions are almost identical to each other and both are religions of peace and understanding. I just hope that one day soon people will start to see it that way and stop all the bickering

    Oddly phrased but interesting. Chrisitianity is the most widely spread and the most prevelent religion in the world. It attracts alot of people and therefore turns away alot of people. It also allows for alot of questioning and self-interpretation.

    History Lesson,
    What do you do when there are more then 50 versions of the bible? When many contradict each other, what does this mean? First of all the bible is supposed to be the word of God not the word of 50 plus people... for example Lets look at King James, he wanted to change the bible so he did, there fore the author is now God, edited by King James, which if you think for more then one second, King James was not a god nor was he god, there fore its his words also as well as Gods which leads to the Bible being now corrupted as it is no longer the original, in fact history records it, he changed it the way he wanted it, just like church of England, Henry the VIII changed it so that he could devoice and guess what else he did oppressed women, forbidding women to read the bible, cant women read the word of God? Tsk tsk tsk
    You know that there is only ONE Holy Quran, Never Altered. More then 1400 years?
    When the bible came to us it was indeed the word of God, however people changed it now over 2009 years there is more then 50 different bibles.

    The best thing you can do is do your own research.

    one more thing i will add, the quran is for everybody,
    Muslims are told not to disregard the bible as it has truth in there amongest the falsehood, they believe in the orignal one as that was really from god, they believe all the prophets were human beings, they believe that god is the greatest nothing matches him and he has no children or partner.

    People are foolish sometimes they just believe anything they hear or read, when really they should do research with the mind god gave them to seek the truth.

    god and allah are exactly the same being
    as arabic christains do indeed call their god Allah this is because it is the arabic word for god, dont be fooled by people, learn yourself,

    eg Translastion of the the word GOD
    Japanese = Kami
    Arabic = Allah
    Spanish = Dios
    French = Dieu
    German = Gott

    But all them above are indeed GOD

    Looking to a "holy" book to determine if there is a God is illogical and irrational. It doesn't even make any spiritual sense. Neither Bible nor Koran nor Torah can prove God's existence. Neither spells nor science reveal him.
    .
    Look at the world. Look inside yourself.
    .
    If you decide there is a God, if you have faith, then the question is what is he like? Then you can read the books, watch the faithful, listen to their pitches, listen to the counterarguments of each faith's opponents, and make your decisions.
    .
    If God seems like nonsense to you, that there really isn't any place for him in the world, that you can't have faith in an invisible God, forget it.
    .
    Yes, I meant that.
    .

    No, idea what you're talking about; however, on the "to me the quran is the only thing that still prove the existence of a god though i was a christian." Just because you believe something, it doesn't make it so and ROFL!
