  • Absolutely! I think this election season is now much, much more interesting. Obama will have a much tougher battle than I thought before today. Great pick by McCain. The pro-lifers and women's groups will LOVE this pick.
  • no not at all.
  • No because McCain is still running for president.
  • I'm still undecided, but I have to admit it was a very good decision to choose a female in this particular situation.
  • Nope, I'm still voting for Obama.
  • I think it was a brilliant pick. I just read Sarah Palin's background and it is impressive. This will be a very interesting campaign.
  • Nope. McCain will do all his crazy old man stuff as president no matter who he has as vice president.
  • He just grabbed the 20% of women that voted for Hillary and didn't support Obama. This was a brilliant pick. McCain just picked up the gun vote, moderate to conservative leaning women and the educated poor vote.
  • I don't think it will be nearly as effective at gaining democratic votes as he thinks it will be. People think gender matters so much to voters, but, in reality, it doesn't.
  • I’m planning to vote for them anyway—I see McCain as the lesser of two evils—but I really have to wonder what he was thinking. Palin might be the best veep in the world, but after slamming Obama for being unprepared, McCain’s going to have an awful lot of ’splainin’ to do. Is there something about Sarah that makes her more qualified than Barack?
  • No - you vote for president and not vice president. Besides - Obama is my man.
  • I don't vote for gender or political parties, I vote for who will do the best job for our country. So my answer is no she does not influence my vote.
  • It makes no effect on who I will vote for.
  • I was going to vote for McCain regardless of the VP pick. That being said, I think this was a brilliant political move. I honestly believe it's Check and Mate! Side bar: I think Hillary is do angry that she is beating her head against a wall right now.
  • More likely, just maybe she can talk some sense into him.
  • No effect. I was going to vote for him anyway because I simply don't trust Democrats at the Federal level (though they're great at the local level).
  • even less likely because of both her extreme lack of experience and the criminal investigation she's under.
  • Absolutely, I had honestly made my mind up to sit this election out. The prospect of an eventual Palin presidency is too much to let pass though. I will be voting after all. I can put up with McCain if it eventually leads to Palin as president. He pulled a rabbit out of his hat and changed my mind. I will be voting McCain. Not that I like him. I just like the prospect of Palins potential presidency after McCains term is up.
  • No he's not swaying my vote. Im still undecided weather i want to vote.
  • Nope. He already had my vote
  • No cause I don't care for either one of the men who are running for President so I am NOT voting at all.
  • I guess we now know who would rather win an election than win the war in Iraq. McCain put gender to win a few votes over the security of our country. "a heart beat away from the oval office" takes on an increased urgency if the one in the oval office is 72. I was voting Obama so this changes nothing, but reassures me that religion has too much influence on our people. Headlines everywhere read "Palin reassures Evangelicals" What this says is that the republicans will do anything to win an election. And they know that americans are the stupidest people on the planet because they pander to the lowest denominator of humanity in this country. Palin is a huge empty shell that has admitted not even knowing what the VP does. But it looks like Americans love having stupid people run the show. You guys shouldn't think of traveling the world, because what ever respect you had just disappeared. Palin is not HILLARY.
  • Yes it does, i am going to register myself as a republican next week!
  • Well, when was the last time you could look at a Vice Presidential candidate and say, "Hey, she's pretty hot!"
  • I think the fact he picked a female is insulting, really. It doesnt seem like he picked her for any other reason then her being female. She was the mayor of a town, and doesnt like gay people...that doesnt qualify her for vice president.
  • Not in the least. She is an ex beauty queen, pro NRA, anti animals and only been in office for a little over a year and involved in a scandal. She is bad news.
  • I was going to vote for him anyways and I like his choice!
  • I'm a Democrat and I actually liked McCain. He wasn't getting my vote but I wasn't going to cry if he got in by any means. But his VP seems insane to me with her 'kill nature' attitude. In a Hillary v/s McCain election he would have gotten my vote beforehand. Now Obama would have to flat out be proven a terrorist before McCain would get my vote.
  • No, her being female did not affect my opinion, or my vote. Now if you want my opinion on that particular female...
