  • Well humans and dolphins are the only species who have sex for both procreation and pleasure so the answer would be no.
  • No. The Bonobo (a relative of the Chimpanzee) engages in sexual activity for pleasure in much the same way humans do. Even when the female is not in heat, she will still engage in sexual activity. This even includes oral sex, heavy petting, kissing, sexual toys, even incest and homosexual relationships. Sex is a big thing in Bonobo's society and social relationships in that it helps them bond and "keep the peace." See: http://songweaver.com/info/bonobos.html (Bonobo Sex and Society), http://www.blockbonobofoundation.org/ (Block Bonobo Foundation).
  • dolphins also practice recreational intercourse. its not proven that they do it just for fun but they reguarly do this and each "session" last only a few short moments. the females are recptive to intercourse all year long. and many more times than not no pregnancy will derive from there sexual acts. hope that helps your question!!!
