I have heard that if you freeze the object, it is easier to remove the gum because it becomes brittle. Try putting the pants in the freezer for a few hours and then removing the gum.

Gum isn't really hard to get out - What I do is put the wet item in the freezer and once frozen I pick off the pieces. once the gum starts thawing I put the item in the freezer again and do it all over again. That should work...

You can also try kerosene or paint thinner

put ice cubes on the area, freeze the gum and it will snap loose from the fabric. It may take a while since a whole pack is involved. Have plenty of ice ready.

always check the pockets, you might get lucky and find a dime bag in there :P

There's a product called Goof Off it is excellent at removing gum.

It happened to my grandma once. She sat on a gum and it melted and stuck all over her skirt. She put lots of ice over it. The gum dried and flaked out. be carefull next time :p
