  • I don't believe it ever did. They had the fan-demanded "fun" episode every year, but they simply stopped when the producers/writers got tired of it.
  • Like, when it first aired.
  • I don't think it ever did. DS9 was all about life on a space station in the Star Trek universe, circa TNG time frame. To that end, they remained true and developed some quite interesting shows and plots.
  • It went sour after those two stupid kids walked before the camera.
  • EgaoNoGenki, Do you have any kind of question other than, "When did '__________' jump the shark?" Is it possible for you to have any kind of positive question, or something about ANYTHING besides the failings (real or imagined) of various TV shows?
  • Maybe when they had Sisko turn out to be some kind of Jesus type of character. Then again, Star Trek 5 already went metaphysical.
  • I don't think it did, it was probably my favourite of the Star Trek series, always had a darker edge.
  • It did not, it just changed. DS9 was its own series with its own particular setting and arc (as far as Trek shows go). Judge it by the critera it outlined for itself, and it worked quite well.
  • I don't think that it jumped the shark. I thought that Voyager though, jumped the shark early and often. So much of it just strained credulity from the sometimes weird motivations of the characters to the contrived and pointless resolutions of various plot lines.
  • I think it was the episode where they beamed up the character from Happy Days and Fonzie reset a failing transporter by giving it a thump with the side of his fist. ;)
  • What does "jump the shark" mean?
